Various fields were included in STI-2020. Among them, Intelligent Computing, Network and Security Systems, Energy, Robotics, Electronics, Sensors and Communications and Textiles are most remarkable.

Pro Vice Chancellor of GUB, Prof. Dr. Abdur Razzaque mentioned that the industry 4.0 meant the Fourth Industrial Revolution that surrounds smart industries, smart grids, intelligent transportation, real-time health care, etc. strengthened by automation and cyber-physical methods. He further said that the goal of the STI conference is to set up a network of researchers and practitioners in the various fields of the industry 4.0. It visualized to uplift a platform for erudite discussions and exchange of creative ideas in the concerned fields. It unveiled a horizon for discussing over the research outcomes and sharing concerning the plans and execution issues. This conference also came up with ways how to deal with the challenges of sustainable technologies that will be put into effect as driving forces in the fourth industrial revolution.
