Reduce carbon emission, produce electricity

Once in the afternoon, I lit a bulb with a magnet and copper wire. Surprisingly, I said to my mom, look, I can produce current. You don’t need to worry about load shedding. We should cut the current line. From now on I will produce the current.

Mom laughed and replied, how long can you produce current from this magnet?

I noticed that after a while my circuit was no longer working. Mom explained the reason, but my brain didn’t catch it.

After a long time, I realized that no device can work indefinitely, even 100% of the output cannot get from any machine. Physics cancel it.

At one time my mind was stuck on Einstein’s mass-energy equation E=MC^2. It attracted me more than the theory of relativity and special theory of relativity. The magic point of this equation is that every matter contains a huge amount of energy. Simply, it is possible to make electricity from every substance! This is what got stuck in my brain. Then every time I saw something new, I thought, how can electricity be produced from this object!

The way carbon emissions are increasing and plants are being destroyed,  we need a method to produce electricity that will not increase the temperature. To me, the use of tidal force and wind turbines as two excellent methods seem to be readily available. We have the largest coastline all over the world. We can generate huge amount of electricity by using wind energy and ocean waves. Now I’ll discuss about wind turbines.

The winds of the main instrument are attached to a horizontal shaft. When the fan turns, the shaft also turns. This shaft is connected to an electrical generator. When the shaft rotates, the rotor of the generator also rotates. This rotation can generate electricity. Here generator works according to Faraday's formula. It describes the magnitude of the electromotive force or voltage induced in a conductor due to electromagnetic induction.

Being a nature lover makes me think of stopping carbon emissions. This type of power plant can reduce carbon emissions and we also can get huge electricity.

  1. Cool idea! Certainly the world is realizing the importance of reducing carbon emission. Yet, more research on this field is required. Green energy is the future for us without any doubt. Great article. Keep going.
