Artificial intelligence (AI) : An Overview and Exploration

We more or now have seen a robot think like a man, act like a man and kills the human being feared by the human Intelligence. Artificial intelligence (AI) is sort of something like that, the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. The idea we pursuit now is less than a decade after breaking the Nazi encryption machine Enigma and helping the Allied Forces win World War II, mathematician Alan Turing changed history a second time with a simple question: "Can machines think?".

Now we see that machine not only can think but also can make our lives better. Nowadays we counterpart our lives with many machines like the Apple's Siri, Amazon's Alexa, IBM Watson, and autonomous vehicles.

Types of artificial intelligence-weak AI vs. strong AI

Weak AI—also called Narrow AI or Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI)-is AI trained and focused to perform specific tasks.

Strong AI is made up of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI). Artificial general intelligence (AGI), or general AI, is a theoretical form of AI where a machine would have an intelligence equaled to humans.

Deep learning vs. machine learning

Since deep learning and machine learning tend to be used interchangeably, it’s worth noting the nuances between the two. As mentioned above, both deep learning and machine learning are sub-fields of artificial intelligence, and deep learning is actually a sub-field of machine learning.

Artificial intelligence applications

There are numerous, real-world applications of AI systems today- speech recognition, customer services the voice agent, photo tagging in social media, radiology imaging in healthcare, self-driving cars within the automotive industry, data trends in cloud, search engines, automated stock trading etc.
